Calling all reccers: prison week!

It's been two weeks since the call for secondary character recs. Time to move on to another category!

A question first, though: are people interested in these theme weeks? Do you like the idea of encouraging specific types of recs? How many people are actually interested in reccing, as opposed to simply reading what others rec?

(Are you under the impression that this is Fig Newton's personal rec archive? It's not. That's actually over here. This comm is for everybody to post recs.)

I would set up a poll, but I'm not a paid user. So I'd appreciate if you'd all take the time to comment and let me know how you'd like the comm to work, and what you'd like to see in the future. Also, if you have any suggestions for themes or characters to feature in future weeks, please include those, too!

In the meantime...

This week, we are looking for prison fic! Jail breakouts, prison cells, off-world or on-world - rec your favorite gen story that features jailtime, either for individuals or the entire team. Hurt/comfort, humor, drama, or fluff are all equally welcome!

I would love to rec, I just always seem to forget...

I have signed up to rec gen for stargateficrecs this month, can I cross-post those here?

Also, if you have any suggestions for themes or characters to feature in future weeks, please include those, too!

I would love an 'aliens' week, or maybe a 'Tok'ra' or a 'Goa'uld' week, something like that. I am so in love with the Tok'ra :)

I like the theme weeks! They inspire recs, and I also love breaking recs down into categories.

I like the theme weeks too! I couldn't get my act together for Secondary Characters, though, and I'm pretty sure there were things I could have recced. So maybe a free week interpersed now and then for catch-up? So that late recs won't be sprinkled among other themes, but periodically we can slip in some recs for weeks we missed?

It's also great to hear that we can double up on stargateficrec recs.
