Why This Must Be Read: Just when you think there can't be possibly be yet another good episode tag for Shades of Grey, you discover an absolute gem like this one, in which a heavy-hearted Jack thinks he's lost his team and their friendship... and discovers that he hasn't.

Stellar Jack POV and characterization lend an extra degree of impact to etrangerici's story. Teal'c is a stunning bulwark, both figuratively and literally. Sam uses her military knowledge to comprehend Jack's choices. And Daniel - watching Jack watch Daniel slowly talk his way into understanding will move you nearly to tears.

Lovely, lovely teamy goodness. This one is just plain fantastic.

Why this should be read:
While waiting for the scientists get them out of a locked room, Jack and Teal'c do a bit of bonding. That's about it as far as plot goes. Kalquessa gives us a bang on Teal'c POV, complete with his signature humour and observations on Tau'ri culture. Sufficient Illumination is sure to leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Main places I've found are: FF.net (where she is Christina K), Stargatefan (where she is C.L. Kamnikar), her LJ (she has tags for fanfic and fic, not sure what the difference is), her defunct website can be found on the internet archive, and she seems to have a current website that requires a username and password to logon (chaos.horsechicks.com). There are not words to describe how hysterically funny this fic is. Jack and Teal'c go golfing through the Stargate to let off steam during Window of Opportunity. This fic is funny and totally in character, and fits perfectly within that episode. You must read this, there are not words for how perfect it is.
