This week's theme is Moebius. Please post recs for any gen fic related to that episode or its repercussions. Please note that according to comm rules, fics that include minor references to UST between AU!Jack and AU!Sam are allowed, but nothing for our Sam and Jack, even after being stranded in Ancient Egypt.
I will be immensely generous and allow

You might want to read the FAQ before posting. Official format is included in the FAQ entry and on the comm's profile page. And, as always, I will happily answer any questions you might have, and welcome any suggestions for future themes.

Warnings: From the author: I had to deal with the ship/slash stuff the episode raised, so even though it’s still gen (to my thinking), if you’re extra-sensitive to even hearing about any of it, you may want to skip it.

Why this should be read: As the author says, Dedicated to everyone who watched Moebius Part 2 and thought, “WTF did they just do to my Daniel??? Strand him in hell with Teal’c and the Kama Sutra Twits?” Between this and her warning, you can guess that TPTB's injection of shippiness into the episode is dealt with. In fact, Betacandy takes on TPTB's waffle-y little hints of ship and slash throughout the show, and doesn't flinch from the characters' weaknesses. Instead she has the characters finally grow up and act like mature adults, for cryin' out loud! (Oh, how I would love to smack the writers over the head with this fic.)
But YCAGWYW isn't all soap opera. Moebius also stranded the characters in Ancient Egypt—an awfully angsty move in a "humorous" episode—and Betacandy gives them a wonderful fix. Along the way she "rescues" another stranded favorite, and comes up with a really astounding backstory that ties together events throughout the seasons. It's a wonderfully smart story, with a dash of angst, plenty of humor, and peppered with insight. This is my canon for what happened to the characters—a balm for my heart.
