It's time for a new rec theme! We've enjoyed several weeks of Teal'c friendship recs, with special recognition to sam_gardener, who linked us to lots of great stories. Now, we're shifting the focus to Dr. Daniel Jackson.

Please rec your favorite gen stories that focus on Daniel and his friendship with somebody. It can be classic team, new team, Catherine, Janet or Hammond, Cassie or Nyan, Skaara or Kasuf - anyone, as long as the focus is on Daniel and his friends.

If you choose to contribute a rec with this theme - and I hope many of you do! - please make sure that your categories include theme: daniel friendship as well as the specific friendship tag. For example, a Teal'c and Daniel friendship story (and please, yes, I WANT THOSE) should include both theme: daniel friendship and friendship: teal'c and daniel. You are welcome to either tag your story yourself or merely list the desired tags in the category section, and I'll do the tagging for you. If the specific tag you need is not available, just list it in the category section and I'll add it as soon as possible.

Why this should be read: This was one of the very first Stargate fics I ever read and it remains a personal favorite. In order to save Daniel's life, Jack has to do the one thing he really hates doing: he has to talk about his feelings.
