Author's Webpage/Fic list: SG-1 tag
Link to story: Extolled
Why this should be read:
A wonderful response to the prompt 'Teal'c, the transition from Cronus' world to Chulak' at the Awesome People of Color Comment-a-thon, 'Extolled' dramatizes a pivotal time in Teal'c's youth and and paints a compelling portrait of his mother in the aftermath of his father's murder. It's also a meditation on how much is withheld from us as children, and how much we don't know -- but, as experienced adults, can guess -- about the people our parents were. About 800 words.

And now it's time for a new theme: under the influence. It might be a telepathic mind whammy, off-world herbs or drinks, copious amounts of alcohol, a plot-hole-shaped mysterious Ancient artifact, or accidental inhalation of alien pollen. It doesn't matter if the influence is deliberate or innocent, angsty or cracky - if it's gen and SG-1 and involves some kind of altered state of mind, we want to see it recced here!
Feel free to refresh your memory of the comm rules at the FAQ before posting. Official format is included in the FAQ entry and on the comm's profile page. If you choose to tag your own entry (you don't have to do so), please include the theme: under the influence tag as well as any others that you find appropriate. And if you need a tag that isn't yet available, please comment and let me know.
